Kelowna RCMP are warning the public about a female con artist who has been targeting men by tugging on their heart-strings.
Police say the women approaches her victims in or near grocery stores where she strikes up a conversation pretending to know the person.
She tells a story about being a single mother and the father is a deadbeat dad. The woman then asks her victims for money for diapers and baby food and sometimes cash for home repairs. She's even equipped with a map with directions to her place along with a phone number and address. Police say the information is bogus.
