Poll: winters or all-seasons?

Technically, you can get away with all-season tires on B.C. highways. But, that doesn’t mean you should use them.

All-season tires have the mud-and-snow (M+S) designation, which is the lowest level of tire legally required to drive on B.C. highways beginning Oct. 1. However, every tire specialist will tell you it’s simply not good enough for the slopes that can be found on highways throughout the province.

Winter tires, which feature the mountain and the snowflake symbol, are always the way to go.
