Israel's Prime Minister Ariel Sharon vowed "to fight, using all diplomatic and legal means" against Friday's ruling by the UN's top court.
On Friday, the UN's International Court of Justice ruled that the separation barrier being built by Israel is illegal. Israel maintains that the wall is necessary, to keep Palestinian suicide bombers out. The court ruled that Israel should compensate Palestinians for their losses.
Construction on about a quarter of the planned barrier in the West Bank. Israeli officials say the wall has created a relative decrease in attacks by Palestinian militants.
Construction on about a quarter of the planned barrier in the West Bank is now complete. Israeli officials say the wall has created a relative decrease in attacks by Palestinian militants.
Palestinian leaders are trying to build international support to have the court's ruling enforced, since the decision is not binding.
Sharon is now blaming a United Nations court decision for a bombing at a Tel Aviv bus stop that killed one person and wounded at least 20 yesterday. He has ordered construction on the West Bank barrier to continue.
