Firefighters with the Oliver Fire Department battled a grass fire this morning, Friday, on Seacrest Road near Oliver.
The call came in around 5:15 a.m. and four trucks were on scene for an hour and a half, according to firefighter and public relations officer Rob Graham.
The fire burned just under a quarter of an acre and no homes were threatened.
The fire is considered suspicious in nature, because it was in roughly the same location of another recent fire.
That fire, a week and a half ago, was around the same size, but could have been much worse if it was hot and windy.
With the current hot and dry conditions, Graham asks that people be careful when using fire and not toss cigarettes out car windows.
