Penticton RCMP Drug Task Force officers stopped a vehicle carrying three occupants on Johnson Rd. April 16. Although all three were arrested, two were later released without charges.
The third person, 24-year-old Caitlin Schroeder of Penticton, was charged with Possession of methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of a prohibited weapon and released from custody on bail.
A second, unrelated incident took place April 18 in the 2100 block of Main St. in Penticton. RCMP Drug Task Force officers stopped a vehicle occupied by a male and female in a parking lot and both were arrested for Possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking.
They are being held in custody, facing anticipated charges of trafficking and Possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking.
The 23-year-old male was on probation for threatening two police officers and the 26-year-old female received an additional charge for possession of a prohibited weapon.
Both suspects have lengthy criminal records and were remanded into custody until Monday, April 22.
