Penticton's pop culture convention sees big crowd turnout with expanded festivities
Big crowds at Penti-Con
Costumes and cosplayers are on full display this weekend as Penticton’s Annual Pop Culture Festival returns with hundreds of attendees.
Penti-Con is running on Saturday and Sunday at the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre, with vendors, workshops and panels running alongside talent competitions, costuming and parades.
Attendees are playing games together and taking part in arts and crafts throughout the day.
There's also Dungeons and Dragons games running all weekend long, and West Kelowna store Orchard City Games is hosting a series of card tournaments.
Guests this year include two cosplayers, along with author Nicholas Eames will be signing his novels at the Coles booth, and a voice actor, Derek Steven Prince from Naruto, Bleach, and Digimon, will be talking about his career, signing autographs, and running some fun panels.
For more information, event schedule and tickets, head to the festival website here. Penti-Con runs on Oct. 26 and 27 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Take a look through the galleries to check out some of the festival displays and outstanding costumes.
