PIB voting going strong

The turnout at the polls in Penticton has been very solid so far.

Members of the Penticton Indian Band are voting for a new chief.

The polls are open at the Band Hall until 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Election officer, Val Baptise, says the turnout through the morning was very strong.

A total of five people are running for chief Jonathon Kruger, Greg Gabriel, Elaine Alec, Lavern Jack and Howard Gabriel.

Giant-FM has been told that Pierre Kruger has taken his name off the ballot.
