The South Okanagan’s most commonly seen birds can all be spotted in one location.
The South Okanagan Naturalists’ Club has given the City of Penticton an interpretative sign “Birds of the Okanagan Lake Waterfront.”
The sign illustrates twenty-four of the most commonly seen birds of the Okanagan Lake waterfront.
The Naturalists’ Club meets on the fourth Thursday of each month at the United Church at 7:30 p.m. from September to May, with the exception of December.
A speaker addresses various issues of interest to anyone interested in the natural world around them.
The South Okanagan Naturalists’ Club invites residents and visitors to join them at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, October 24 at Marina Way Park as they present the sign to Mayor Jake Kimberley and Sharon Amos, Volunteer Chair, Centennial Advisory Committee, on behalf of their Club to the citizens of Penticton.
