54-40, Doug & the Slugs coming to Penticton Peach Festival

54-40 back at Peach Fest

The Penticton Peach Festival has revealed two legendary Canadian rock bands will be the headliners on Saturday night of the beloved summer event.

Doug & the Slugs and 54-40 will take to the Peters Bros. main stage on Aug. 12. The Lakeside Resort and Peters Bros. Paving are sponsoring the acts.

This will not be 54-40's first time at Peach Fest. In 2017, they pulled in a capacity crowd at Okanagan Lake Park.

"We're thrilled to have 54•40 back at Peach Festival," said festival president Shawna Guitard.

"They are loved by fans of all ages, making them truly a multi-generational band."

Opening for them will be Vancouver's Doug & the Slugs, who have four Juno Award nominations and 10 charted hits under their belts and are known for being a great party band.

Peach Fest has been unveiling its headlining acts in recent weeks. Already announced are Kim Mitchell and Captain Tractor (Aug. 9) and Aaron Pritchett and Matt Lang (Aug. 10).

Peach Fest is Canada's largest free festival, taking place Aug. 9-13 in Penticton.
