Former Penticton man awaiting sentence for possession of child pornography

Child porn sentence soon

A former Penticton man will soon learn his fate for possession of child porn.

Trenton C.J. Adams appeared in Penticton Supreme Court Tuesday, having pleaded guilty to a single count of possession of child pornography back in January 2022.

The offence took place in Penticton according to court records, between June and October of 2019 according to the BC Prosecution Service.

Adams appeared via video conference from custody in Prince George. He had been living in Vanderhoof on bail before being picked up on a warrant and remanded to custody on Oct. 14 of this year.

He had been scheduled to appear for sentencing, but audio issues at the correctional centre caused a delay in proceedings Tuesday morning.

The sentencing hearing was eventually adjourned without a sentence being handed down, and Adams' next appearance will be Dec. 8.
