Okanagan Falls Hotel purchased for $2.8 million by Avery Group, plans to renovate and relaunch

OK Falls Hotel purchased

The historic OK Falls Hotel could finally be back up and running in the near future after the property was officially sold on Wednesday.

Garry Peters and his company Avery Group purchased the property, located at 1045 Main Street, for $2.8 million. They are also the owners of the old Weyerhaeuser mill, which was turned into a light industrial park after being purchased in 2020.

His daughter, Rachelle Peters, who is local to the area, told Castanet that they will be spending the next four to six months renovating the property and getting it up to operational standards.

"It is a big deal...This is a key part of the revitalization of Okanagan Falls," she said. “We’re thrilled to continue to invest in the community.”

They are also currently looking for an operator that can run the restaurant pub and cafe.

The hotel has been closed in recent years and previously had a stop-work order issued by the Regional District of Okanagan Similkameen.
