Penticton Firefighters receive specialized training from Dynamic Rescue Systems

Specialized rescue training

Eight firefighters from Penticton Fire Department stepped into specialized training work on earlier this week at the local water treatment plant.

Rob Trupp, Assistant Chief with the PFD said that Dynamic Rescue Systems from Coquitlam delivered the training, covering confined space rescue techniques through varying scenarios, patient packaging, equipment deployment, air monitoring and ventilation.

Classroom training was held at station 202, with practical training at held at the Penticton Water treatment plant.

Students were trained at a Confined Space operations level

"Thanks to Dynamic Rescue Systems for the excellent training and the Penticton Water Treatment Plant for the use of their facility," Trupp said.
