Tim Hortons locations in the South Okanagan are thrilled to announce that their annual Smile Cookie campaign raised a record-breaking $42,579.15.
For a week in late September, proceeds from every cookie sold at Tim Hortons locations owned by the Stawarz family were collected to go right back to the OSNS Legacy Foundation, supporting children and youth in the South Okanagan.
It's a cause near and dear to Nicole MacMillan of the Stawarz family, who looks forward to the opportunity to give back every year.
"We are inspired by our community and our teams. No matter the challenges we have faced, our community continues to give back.That week we had a blast in the restaurants and delivering cookies around the town," MacMillan said.
"OSNS has been helping children overcome developmental challenges in their movement, play, speech, language, learning, attention and behaviour since 1978. Children like our long term employee, Kreshia. She has been working for our family for over 12 years and first visited OSNS when she was just five years old. Now, her son Jaxson is a second generation beneficiary of OSNS support. It is stories like these that we continue to push and give our hearts back to the community."
MacMillan shares her sincere thanks to everyone who bought a cookie or donated.
