The Critteraid Animal Sanctuary has a puppy with lots of love and energy looking for a home

Active pup to adopt

Casey Richardson

A nearly five months old Border Collie-Australian Shepherd cross puppy is searching for his forever home after being in a foster home with the Critteraid Animal Sanctuary out of Summerland.

Boss is an active sweet pup that is looking for a family, a single person or a couple to take him home.

"He was born on a farm but has been living in a foster home for several weeks now and has gotten the hang of the house dog life," Critteraid Dog House Director Arlene Dunstan-Adams said.

Boss is house and crate trained and walking very well on a leash.

"Boss has been living in a home with a senior dog, lots of cats and chickens on the property. So he is very respectful of all other animals and has had several positive interactions with small children."

This young puppy will need a fun-filled home with a fully fenced yard.

Dunstan-Adams said his favourite thing in the whole wide world is to hide all of his toys in the lavender bushes and have endless naps with all of his toys soaking in the aromatherapy.

"Boss is an active pup and as an adult, we'll need about an hour of running exercise a day at minimum. Whether he's playing with his favourite frisbee, playing at the dog park, or going on a jog, hike or bike ride, this boy will be your exercise buddy and your motivation to seek adventure every day."

If you're interested in adopting Boss or any other dogs at Critteraid, fill out an adoption application on the Critteraid website here or email an inquiry to [email protected]
