Penticton's Discovery House Fall Harvest Dinner celebrates addiction recovery

Dinner celebrates recovery

Penticton's Discovery House will be celebrating the men whose lives have been saved by taking steps to tackle their addictions with the return of their Fall Harvest Dinner.

The recovery program works to help the men become productive members of the community and reconnect with their families.

The dinner is happening on Sat. Oct. 29, at 6:30 p.m. with a meal of smoked brisket, veggies and desserts.

The night will also feature a baking & bacon raffle with dozens of items to be won and a silent auction,

Tickets are $25 each or reserve a table of 8 for $200.

Those who are unable to attend can choose to sponsor a few tickets or a table and will receive a tax-deductible receipt for their donation.

Contact Executive Director Jerome Abraham at 250-462-1388 for tickets or the Discovery House office at 250-490-3076.

Discovery House is also looking for baking donations for their raffle. Contact Jerome if you can offer up some treats.
