100 Men needs guys for charity event

100 Men for charity

100 Men is getting the guys together for charity.

On Sept. 13, men living in South Okanagan communities will get the opportunity to taste local ciders, meet new faces, and donate to local charity.

Gathering at the Summerland Heritage Cider Company, three charities will be chosen and vetted by the Foundation before being introduced at the event. Each attendee donates $100 upon entry, and all three charities will be splitting the total.

"We thought it'd be really great to celebrate being in the Okanagan at harvest time, and to take the event to Summerland," said executive director of the Community Foundation of the South Okanagan Similkameen Aaron McRann.

"Everyone goes away from this get-together happy. One one side, the charities benefit from the donations and from having the chance to let the community know about their important work. On the flip side, the guys learn more about their community, and have a chance to make an impact themselves."

The more men that show up to the cider barn, the more money each charity will take home.

The event takes place from 5:30 until 6:30 p.m. For more information click here.
