At their first in-person event of the year, 100 Women Who Care South Okanagan supported three Penticton nonprofits on Thursday night.
Together the group donated $4,350 to the community.
This time, the Canadian Mental Health Association South Okanagan Similkameen Branch won over the hearts of most women in the room, as they gave a touching speech about the importance of connection.
The local CMHA Branch was awarded $3,350, while $500 each was given to the 'runners up', the South Okanagan Similkameen Medical Foundation and Canadian food for Children.
Members of the group meet up quarterly and pick from three deserving local organizations to donate money raised from their membership fees and from their events.
Anyone can donate to the 100 Women Who Care fund, which is a registered charity, whether you are a member or not. To find out more, visit their Facebook page here.
