Alleged arsonist caught on camera lighting Oliver pot shop on fire

A cannabis shop owner in Oliver is hoping someone can identify the arsonist who set fire to his store early Tuesday morning.

The Oliver Fire Department called the fire suspicious, and said it is under investigation.

A report of smoke off Highway 97 North in Oliver at The Pot Doctor, at 8141 Highway 97, came in before 5 a.m.

The fire was reported in a trailer and the cannabis business at the location.

According to a news release from the fire department, the first arriving units were able to knock down the exterior fire and proceed to attack the fire at the interior of the two structures.

Amber Virag, who posted the video to Facebook, stated the owner is now offering a $1,000 reward for anyone able to identify the individual in the video.
