The Oliver Fire Department responded to a large home fire Wednesday evening.
In a news release on Facebook, the department said they were called to the structure fire on Merlot Street at 5:52 p.m. and arrived to find a home fully engulfed in flames.
“Crews made quick attacks to the garage/top floor to knock the fire back and avoid further spread to the rest of the home,” the release said.
Firefighters stayed on scene for about two hours.
The home sustained “extensive damage” in the fire, of which the cause is unknown.
Twenty firefighters from the volunteer paid-on-call department responded to the blaze.
No other details were released. Crews released a video of their response to the fire.
