Best mogul skiers from around the world will be racing down Apex Mountain

Mogul race at local slopes

The top 120 mogul athletes from across Canada, the United States and the rest of the globe will descend on Apex Mountain Resort to compete in a championship event next weekend.

Freestyle mogul skiers will be partaking in the FIS NorAm Mogul and Dual Mogul competition from Jan 27-30, hosted by the Apex Freestyle Club and Freestyle Canada.

The course has the reputation as being one of the best mogul courses in the World due to the constant 26 degree pitch over the 220 m course.

"The NorAm is one notch below the best in the world, just below the world cup," shared Sarah Holeton from the Apex Freestyle Club.

Spectators are encouraged to come out to the hill to watch the high level athlete sporting event at no cost.

Official training will began on Thursday and continue onto Friday, with single mogul competitions scheduled for Saturday and dual moguls on Sunday.
