District of Summerland fixing potholes when it can

Potholes plague pavement

It's a bit of a bumpy ride through the Summerland streets.

With the recent weather bringing heavy precipitation and freeze thaw cycles, the District shared that the area has formed new potholes or has seen existing ones worsened on the streets.

District Crews are working to patch the potholes, and are placing cones or signs at larger potholes until they can be repaired.

Cold weather can challenge the repair of the potholes as the temporary patches erode quickly.

When the weather warms up at the end of February and into early March, the District plans to make a lot of progress quite quickly.

In the meantime, residents can report a pothole by calling the Public Works Office at 250-494-0431 or sending in an email at works&[email protected]
