RDOS asking for Naramata residents feedback on the future Official Community Plan

Feedback needed for OCP

As the Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen heads into the first of three surveys for the Naramata Official Community Plan (OCP) review, they are looking for more community members to input their feedback.

So far, more than 500 community members have already signed up to participate and offer feedback. This is the last week to enter in feedback.

The first round focuses on the likes and dislikes about the community that will form objective statements for the next rounds of the survey.

Submission have seen more than 2,000 likes and dislikes submitted, with likes including community spirit, beauty, rural character and outdoor activities.

The next two rounds will focus on measuring the community’s priorities based on the likes and dislikes to inform updates to the OCP.

The deadline to submit input for round one is end of day Sunday, Jan. 16. Paper copies of the survey will be picked up from the Naramata Store on Monday.

Rounds two and three will be focused on capturing as many participants as possible since the survey will be measuring the level of support for objectives, like a vote.

The round two survey will launch on Jan. 31, with a community open house event in February. Details of how to participate in the open house will be released closer to the event.
