The Critteraid Animal Sanctuary in Summerland has a cat who is ready for loads of love and cuddles

Cat looking for loads of love

A sweet cat who has recovered at the Critteraid Animal Sanctuary in Summerland is ready for a home after returning to full health.

Isis is a one-year-old kitten that was found out in the streets and nursed back to health by the rescue. She was named after the goddess for her divine energy.

"She was found as a stray. We were concerned about her health, she was quite thin and just the normal unfortunate situations that happen when they're out in the cold and having to fend for themselves," Critteraid Animal Director Jess Byer explained.

Since then, she has been able to put on a good amount of weight and the vets are much happier with her overall health condition.

"We are now looking for a family that has the time and loads of love to get this baby. She loves attention and loves to be cuddled."

Isis is still scared of toys, but is getting used to them and learning how to play.

"We know she would just blossom in a home where there was another kitty that needed a really good friend," Byer added. "We prefer to have her with no dogs because they seem to frighten her."
