Penticton offers break on late utilities fees for December

Break on late utilities fees

The City of Penticton is lifting penalties on late utility bills during the month of December.

They cite ongoing road closures on major highways delaying mail delivery as an opportunity to provide a break.

"The holiday season is a time that can be stressful both emotionally and financially,” says Penticton Mayor, John Vassilaki.

“We want to provide our residents a small gift by way of giving our utility bill penalties a Christmas vacation so there’s one less thing to worry about this holiday season.”

To find out the balance due on the utility bills, residents can either come in to City Hall (open from 9 – 4 p.m., Monday to Friday), phone the Utility Department at 250-490-2489 or email [email protected].

Alternatively, register online for the MyCity portal here.
