Peek behind the scenes of the Penticton Arts Council artist in residence' work

Shop local art for Xmas

The public is invited to the Penticton Arts Council's Artists in Residence and the Penticton potters' Guild open house this weekend at the Leir House.

Get a sneak peek into their studios to see their latest art projects while holiday shopping. Paintings, prints, cards, jewelry, potter, ornaments and more will be up for purchase.

Plus, attendees will be eligible for prizes from some artists.

Artists Diana Skelhorne, Lindsey Curtis, Karla Avendaño, Debbie Tougas, and Georgia Krebs will be located on the main floor, while Cathie Peeren and Barbara Peeren will be in the carriage house, and George Traicheff on the lower level.

The Penticton Potters’ Guild’s doors will also be open and featuring work from guild members for sale. They are located on the back of the Leir House and will have a wide variety of clay creations available.

The event runs from Dec. 3-5, 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Attendees can also check out the current art exhibitions on the main floor of the Leir House.
