New evacuation order

UPDATE: 11:45 a.m.

As some areas of the Regional District of Okanagan Similkameen see evacuation orders dropped to alerts, another has seen an additional order.

One large property in rural Princeton, 600 Public Works Road, has been placed under order as of Friday morning due to "immediate danger to life and property" caused by Similkameen River flooding.

RCMP will be expediting the order.

UPDATE: 11:10 a.m.

More properties in the Regional District of Okanagan Similkameen have been downgraded from evacuation orders to alerts.

The Riverside RV Park and Estates areas in rural Keremeos are no longer under order, but should still be prepared to evacuate should that change.

Evacuation orders for four properties in the Chopaka area of Cawston have been rescinded Friday morning.

The properties had been under order since Nov. 15 as part of the area's response to historic flooding.

In rural Princeton and the Town of Princeton, hundreds of properties remain either on alert or order near the Similkameen and Tulameen rivers. For a full interactive map, click here.
