Meadowlark Nature Festival returning to South Okanagan after COVID hiatus

Nature festival coming back

After a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Penticton's beloved Meadowlark Nature Festival is coming back.

The annual nature festival features a wide variety of events, tours, exhibitions and workshops showcasing the natural wonders of the South Okanagan-Similkameen.

They chose to cancel in 2020 and 2021 to protect the health and safety of their supporters and participants, but 2022 is looking brighter.

"We will look a little different in 2022 in order to abide by any restrictions laid out by the Provincial Health Authority, but we are well rested and eager to offer the best festival yet!" said Paul Lockington, festival coordinator.

They are short on details at this point but will have more information as they continue to organize. In the meantime, they have nailed down May 20-23, 2022 as the dates to welcome back the festival.

"We are excited to be welcoming back all our devoted volunteers, supporters, and guests," Lockington said.
