Penticton Search and Rescue were kept busy Saturday

Two rescues in one day

Penticton Search and Rescue crews were kept busy Saturday, responding to two separate incidents.

Just after 2 p.m., crews responded to the Kaleden area to help the BC Emergency Health Services with an injured man. PENSAR did not provide any details about the rescue, or the man's condition.

Less than four hours later, crews were called to the KVR Trail above the Naramata area for a report of an injured female cyclist.

Eleven search and rescue volunteers located the woman on the trail near the Rock Ovens, using three rescue trucks and two side-by-sides.

She was transported to a waiting ambulance on Chute Lake Road and taken to hospital.

Her injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
