The Critteraid Animal Sanctuary in Summerland is hosting two magical adoption events

Get ready for a cat or two to cast a spell on you.

The Critteraid Animal Sanctuary in Summerland is planning for adoptions of the most magical kind with their Back to Hogwarts adoption events.

The Harry Potter crew is a group of cats that were rescued from a horrible hoarding house situation by the non profit and were affectionately named after the famous book and movie series.

"We are so excited for our 'Rowling Rowdies' because it's time for them to go back to Hogwarts, get to the train station 9 3/4. We're ready for a magical evening and great afternoon," Critteraid Animal Director Jess Byer said.

Bellatrix, Snape, Fleur and many more are so excited to welcome, by appointment only, everyone who needs a friend.

The adoption event runs on Sept. 11 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Sept. 12 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

"Most of these guys are bonded pairs, but we'd love to speak with you more and see if one of our little Hogwarts friends is ready for your home."
