The Critteraid Animal Sanctuary in Summerland is looking for volunteers to help keep the place pristine

Critteraid needs manpower

The Critteraid Animal Sanctuary in Summerland is looking for extra help with keeping their rescue pristine and in tip-top shape.

“Our sanctuary is one of our absolute pride and joys. We are able to rescue, at this moment, we have 75 cats in our care,” Jess Byer, Critteraid animal director said.

“But we cannot do this without manpower and that comes from our volunteers.”

Right now, the sanctuary is finding ‘an extreme shortage’ with their cat house cleaning helpers.

The shifts run on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday mornings, starting between 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. and lasting around two hours.

“If you’re interested in getting in a big kitty cuddle and helping us really keep this place pristine and clean for our kitties, please send us an email, we’d love to what from you,” Byer said.

“It is one of the most rewarding ways to spend your time.”

Anyone interested in volunteering and providing some of the needed help can send Critteraid an email at [email protected]
