Penticton Art Gallery putting together a top secret art exhibition

Top secret exhibition

A secret art installation is slowly being created by members of the community for the Penticton art gallery, with limited details on the exhibition.

“It is a bit of a secret until it is released,” McKaila Ferguson, collections and communications manager for the Penticton Art Gallery said. “It's going to be really cool and it's going to be public art installation outside the gallery.”

The gallery is back working with people who usually partner up with them that they can’t bring in to their studio right now because of COVID-19 restrictions.

“So this is a way that we are still engaging with them a little bit and then we needed a couple of extra hands and asked for some more help on Facebook.”

Around 30 people have signed up so far for the exhibition.

“That's all I can say at this moment,” Ferguson added.

The official exhibition date is yet to be determined as the contributors work on their projects, but the gallery expects it to be around early spring.

And for those interested in being apart of the undisclosed project, the gallery is still looking for people to contribute. Reach out to Carla O’Bee at the Gallery at 250-493-2928 or send an email to [email protected]
