RCMP investigating a shot fired in the direction of a person on a rural Penticton property.
Penticton RCMP officers are investigating after a gun was apparently discharged toward a woman at a rural property Friday night.
On July 10 at 8:30 p.m., officers attended a rural property in the 2000 block of Carmi Road.
A woman had been walking on her property when she felt a sudden sharp stinging on her back, and heard something fall to the ground.
Her husband inspected the nearby area and found what appeared to be a spent .22 calibre bullet. The woman developed a red mark on her back but was otherwise uninjured.
RCMP attended the scene and searched around the property, with no suspect identified at this time.
The investigation is ongoing.
