The Penticton Vees picked the worst time to suffer their first four game losing streak of the season.
The Vees dropped their fourth in a row Tuesday night, falling 3-0 to the Vernon Vipers at Penticton Memorial Arena. The Vipers took the best-of-seven Interior Conference final 4-1.
The Vipers' Nick Olynyk turned aside all 26 shots he faced for his second straight shutout.
Andrew Coburn, Connor Jones and Kirk Meaver scored for the Vipers.
After winning nine straight to open the post season, the Vees ran into a hot goaltender in Olynyk, who allowed just four goals over the final four games of the series.
The Vipers will take on either Nanaimo or Cowichan Valley in the league championship series.
Nanaimo leads that series three games to two.
