Six people have been arrested after trying to jump the border near Oroville.
Border officials from the United States and Canada arrested five South Koreans and a Canadian after they were spotted trying to enter the U.S. illegally.
They were caught near Loomis, Washington, about 20 kilometres south of the Chopaka-Nighthawk border in the Lower Similkameen Valley.
The Koreans were all found to be in violation of U.S. immigration laws and formal removal proceedings have begun.
The Canadian was also found to be in violation of U.S. entry laws and is in the process of being removed from the country.
No specific information about the people has been released.
