They didn’t lose easily.
The Penticton Vees were defeated 3-2 by the Vernon Vipers in Thursday night’s second game of the Interior Conference Championship.
Head coach, Bruno Campese, says even though they lost, the Vees put up a good fight.
“It wasn’t an easy win for the Vipers, it was a very physical game. The game winning goal wasn’t made until the last few minutes of play, so it could have gone either way,” says Campese.
He says the team is in good spirits as they get ready to head to Vernon this weekend.
“We are playing out of town on Saturday and Sunday, so we don’t have the home ice advantage, but we are still looking forward to continuing the championship,” says Campese.
Anyone wishing to cheer the Vees on in person can book a seat on the team’s fan bus, which leaves from the Memorial Arena at 4:30 pm Saturday. Tickets must be purchased in advance by calling 486-2443.
