A man charged in connection with a fatal motorcycle accident appeared in Penticton court Monday.
Aaron Lardner is facing several charges related to the death of Lindsay Paulson in June 2003.
Paulson, then 22, was riding on the back of Lardner's motorcycle when it crashed into a median near Skaha Lake Road and Kinney Avenue. She was not wearing a helmet and died at the scene.
Lardner, 32, is being charged with criminal negligence causing death, impaired driving causing death and operating a vehicle with a blood-alcohol level over .08.
Paulson's parents, Sandra and Lon, say the pain of losing their daughter will never really go away.
The trial is expected to last two weeks, with about 10 people expected to testify.
