Armed Robber Sought

RCMP are searching for an armed robber who held up a gas station in Penticton over the weekend.

Just before 10 pm on Sunday, a man entered the Canadian Tire Gas Bar on Fairview Road.

He produced a handgun and told the 16-year-old male working at the station to cooperate. The robber took cash from the till and several cartons of cigarettes before leaving in a white pickup truck.

The suspect is described as Caucasian, about 20-years-old, six feet tall with a medium build. He was seen wearing a grey hoodie and black ball cap.

The truck has a raised suspension and is either an extended or crew cab style. It was seen heading north on Highway 97 towards Summerland.
