A comprehensive OCP and Zoning Bylaw review which began in May 2004 has resulted in the Board reading the bylaws a second time and proceeding to public hearing. The bylaws support and enhance the 1993 bylaws and recognize the unique nature of rural Naramata.
The date for the public hearing will be posted on the RDOS website shortly.
An amendment to Bylaw No. 2261 was read a first and second time and will proceed to public hearing. The applicant is seeking to amend the zoning on properties located at 4610 33 Street 2901 52d Street and 4810 25th Street in Rural Osoyoos in order to remove a dwelling lot in the northeast corner of the property at 33 Street and to consolidate the remainder lot with the adjoining parcels. The bylaw will now proceed to public hearing.
A development variance permit was approved for 3208 Juniper Road in Naramata. The purpose of the variance is to permit the construction of an addition to the principal building of an attached garage with bedrooms above.
A DVP was approved for 141 Sparton Drive on the West Bench in Electoral Area F. The purpose of the variance is to allow the construction of a deck along the front of the dwelling.
A third DVP was approved for 131 Towers Road in Rural Princeton. The purpose of the variance is to permit the construction of a new principal dwelling.
A Watercourse Development permit was approved for 131 Towers Road in Rural Princeton. The permit was approved in accordance with conditions outlined in a Riparian Area Regulation Assessment Report conducted on the property. The Board approved a variance to the riparian assessment area from 30.0 m to 19.0 m measured at the roofline to permit the construction of a new dwelling and septic field.
An application to amend the Zoning and Official Community Plan Bylaws for a property on Toy Creek Road in Electoral Area D was not approved. The application was to change the zoning from large holdings to small holdings to facilitate a subdivision of the parcel.
