Woman Identified

Penticton RCMP say a woman found on the KVR trail has been identified.

A woman, believed to be in her 50's, was found lying on the trail near Cambie Street Sunday morning.

She had no ID, but a set of keys was found near her. A police dog was brought to the scene to try and track which direction she had come from.

Corporal Rick Dellebuur says the woman has been taken to Penticton Regional Hospital.

“She was not unconscious when she was found, but she was suffering from a medical condition. Because of privacy issues, her name is not being released,” says Dellebuur.

He says since the woman was not injured or reported missing by anyone, the RCMP's involvement is over.
