The man who is accused of running over Leonard Silvius has been arrested.
Silvius, a resident of Naramata, was heading into the Pasta Factory on Martin Street in Penticton on February 3 when he was approached by a man driving a red SUV.
The driver asked Silvius if he had change for a $20 bill. After Silvius gave the man change, he realized the bill was a fake. He grabbed the driver, who drove away, dragging the 49-year-old Silvius with him.
Silvius was dragged through a parking lot and run over by the SUV's rear wheels, leaving him with cuts, bruises and several cracked ribs.
On March 1, Kamloops RCMP arrested Edouard Etifier. The 37-year-old suspect is facing numerous charges including robbery, dangerous driving and assault with a weapon.
RCMP could not say if Etifier has a criminal record.
