Rock music legend Alice Cooper will play the South Okanagan Events Centre next year.
The “Godfather of Shock Rock” will visit Penticton Sunday April 19, 2020, bringing his theatrical hard rock show featuring electric chairs, guillotines, fake blood and boa constrictors.
Cooper has been touring steadily since his commercial peak in the 70s, averaging 90 concerts a year recently.
“Known as the architect of shock-rock, Cooper has rattled the cages and undermined the authority of generations of guardians of the status quo, continuing to surprise fans and exude danger at every turn, like a great horror movie, even in an era where CNN can present real life shocking images,” the concert announcement states.
Tickets go on sale Friday, for $45 to $109.
