Penticton dragon boat teams are returning from the Kamloops Dragon Boat Festival with some hardware.
This past weekend, three Penticton teams went up against 23 others from around the province.
Local women’s team "22 in Sync" took first place in the women’s B division, followed less than a second later by Penticton’s "Despirit Housewives."
With the fastest time of the day, Penticton’s "Peach City Dragons" won the mixed A final, against teams from Fort Langley, Harrison and Kelowna. The “Peaches” posted a 1:55 time in a final that was close enough to require video replay.
Teams are now preparing for the upcoming Penticton Dragon Boat Festival Sept. 7 and 8. For more information, contact [email protected]
