Dozens still need homes

Chelsea Powrie

Your next chance to meet and take home a new feline forever friend is coming up at Critteraid Animal Sanctuary on Saturday.

It's been a busy year for the rescue society, resulting in dozens of cats and kittens ready for adoption.

"We've been able to rescue and give shelter to so, so many cats and kittens, loved them up, helped them get healthy," said volunteer Karolina. "They're spayed and neutered now, and now it's time for them to blow out of here to their forever home."

On Saturday, Aug. 17 the shelter will open its doors to the public to come meet the animals and hopefully find a match to bring home.

Call ahead to book your spot, available from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Critteraid can be reached at 250-488-3226. Information on available adoptable cats can be found here

Karolina is confident the event will result in many cats finding their new families.

"We hope to see many of you there, and don't forget your cat carriers!"
