Beating victim home

The Good Samaritan who was severely beaten on a Penticton beach in May is continuing his recovery at home.

Bradley Eliason was pictured with an extensive series of staples in his skull in a Facebook post submitted by his wife over the weekend.

Charges in beach attack

"After an exhausting week we are finally home," said Chelcie Ashlee in her post. "Brad wanted me to share these photos to show the extent of his injury."

Ashlee said Eliason is now on two different anti-seizure medications.

"So far, no seizures since the new meds, so this is good," Ashlee said. "But we are just trying to recover from the trauma of it all and this last week."

Police allege Eliason was punched while trying to come to the aid of two women who had been sexually assaulted. The punch sent Eliason falling backwards, hitting his head on the concrete.

The man accused in the assault, Thomas Kruger-Allen, is out on bail and has not entered a plea to the charges yet. He was sentenced to probation last week for his role in a group assault outside the now-closed Mule Nightclub in 2017. He was on bail awaiting sentencing for that assault when the incident involving Eliason occurred.
