Teenage mom needs love

Chelsea Powrie

Kimchi the cat was just a few months old and alone on the streets when she gave birth to a litter of kittens, and now she is looking for her second chance in life with a forever home adoption.

"Kimchi is a teenage mom, and I know what she's saying, she's saying 'Oh my god what was I thinking,' but things just happen!" joked longtime Critteraid Animal Sanctuary volunteer Karolina.

Her kittens were all adopted, but Kimchi, who is roughly six months old, is still waiting at the sanctuary.

"She is cuddly, loving, very unaggressive," Karolina said. "She gets along with other cats, she is just an absolute love."

Kimchi would love to go home with someone who would just let her curl up on their lap while they read a book.

"We are hoping for her to find an adoption soon!" Karolina said.

Contact animal director Jess Byer at 250-488-3226 for more information about adopting Kimchi, or visit Critteraid's website here to learn more about their adoptable animals.
