The Penticton RCMP is asking South Okanagan vehicle repair shops to be on the lookout for a Pontiac with front-end damage.
A cyclist was struck and left on the side of Eastside Rd. around 10:10 p.m. June 5. The cyclist suffered severe non-life-threatening injuries and the driver fled before emergency crews arrived.
Police say the suspect vehicle is believed to be a Pontiac Vibe, or other Pontiac brand of vehicle, with a small honeycomb-style grill.
Anyone that comes across a damaged similar vehicle is asked to contact the RCMP.
