Federal Minister of Tourism Melanie Joly will be in Penticton next week for a luncheon with the local chamber of commerce.
The event May 23, noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre is open to the public. Joly will be speaking about Canada’s new federal tourism strategy.
“We are pleased to have the Minister of Tourism visit Penticton just before we enter our busy tourist season,” said Penticton and Wine Country Chamber of Commerce Nicole Clark. “The city of Penticton represents a broad spectrum of tourism business stakeholders.”
