Police to hold mini-forums

The Penticton RCMP will be seeking feedback on local policing through “mini-forums” over the next few months.

In advance of the detachment’s annual town hall in March, officers will be available to present mini-forums at local businesses and organizations throughout the South Okanagan. Groups are encouraged to reach out to the RCMP to have an officer visit them, present, and field questions.

The most common concerns identified by the officers during these mini-forums will be presented more in depth at the main forum in March.

“In the coming weeks, officers will be increasing their presence in the downtown core, and as part of this initiative, will be canvassing businesses interested in having their own mini-forums,” said Const. James Grandy.

Any schools, businesses, neighbourhood groups, senior homes or other community organizations can email their request to host a mini-forum to [email protected]
