It was a very wet morning for one Princeton resident after his vehicle ended up in the Similkameen River.
It happened just before 9 a.m. about six kilometers east of Princeton.
A man was driving eastbound on Highway 3 when his van began to fishtail after coming around a curve.
The driver was unable to control the van and ended up driving down a river embankment and landing in the water. He was the only person in the vehicle.
The man was uninjured and able to swim to shore, where he flagged down a passing car, and got a ride to the RCMP office.
The van floated down river and got lodged in the middle of the water. A tow truck is scheduled to remove it Monday morning.
