S'Land Water Low

Summerland's water reservoirs are at an all-time low.

Water distribution officer, Scott Lee, says full capacity is over 11 million litres.

He says only 3,300 million litres are currently in the storage system, but a big increase will likely come in the spring after the snow melts.

Water conservation officer, Joe Fitzpatrick, says work is continuing on the installation of water meters for agricultural water users and should be finished by spring.

He says most of Summerland's water use is for irrigation purposes during the summer.
